Mathematics Program

Starting in Kindergarten, ARDOR students will have an opportunity to select Mathematics Program as an add-on to the standard curriculum.

We have developed a unique Mathematics curriculum that focuses on expanding child’s mind through the development of critical thinking, logic, mental arithmetics and abstract reasoning skills. It consists of several disciplines, such as Math classes focused on problem-solving, Logic games and Puzzles, Coding, Chess, Science and age appropriate Engineering and Technology classes, known as STEM. By graduating this program, ARDOR students will have an opportunity to pursue their education in the most desirable field of Advanced STEM Program offered in Middle School.

 

Mathematics

Early Exposure: At ARDOR we strongly believe in initiating critical thinking programs at an early age that will positively influence the intellectual advancement of a child. Getting a first-hand experience to foundational numeracy offers the essential building blocks for forthcoming studies and discovery of arithmetic perceptions. Findings have shown that mathematics does not only derive from natural proficiencies, but can also be an acquired talent that requires to be established, trained, and supported.

Deep Understanding:  Our main priority is to insure our students acquire true knowledge and full understanding of mathematical concepts and ideas versus just memorizing facts.

Logic Games and Puzzles

There are countless skills that students can develop through playing logic games, such as critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and problem solving.

Puzzles are also an important educational learning tool for young children, as they help them develop many skills and provide mental learning benefits and opportunities, such as pattern recognition, orientation and prospective, cognitive skills, as well as logical and strategic thinking.

 

Engineering and Coding for Kids

ARDOR Engineering and Coding for Kids program is designed for students starting in Kindergarten with innovative ideas and techniques. In this class, young students enter the world of computer science by learning how to create animations, computer games, and interactive projects. At an early age, our students are familiarized with programming and learning the basic guidelines as they assemble Lego robots. Progressively, students train to create computer programs using a graphic-based computer programming language. But the real significance of this curriculum is for students to foster strong problem solving skills that will greatly impact and enhance all facets of their life.

Science

Our project-based Science classes involve students in scientific discussions to help them form their our opinions based on observation, and communicate those observations and decisions effectively through speaking and writing. Doing science projects helps develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of understanding the world.

Our curriculum is enriched with mathematical concepts within scientific and technological investigations and engineering designs providing deeper understanding of content and processes in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Chess

Chess, in addition to being an immeasurable and fascinating game, generates endless benefits beyond measure as an effective brain trainer, influentially associated with developing children’s reasoning skills, awareness, retention, problem-solving, resourceful thinking – and mathematical proficiencies. Here at ARDOR, we feel these skills are extremely crucial towards our students growth.
